‚ÄčAre you the person you want to bE? This is a question someonElse wants you to ask yourself. Be the person you want to be and don't let anything stop you. bE someonElse Vocalist David DeCeglie, guitarist Eric Cire, and drummer Cory Goonan started creating music together at the very early age of 15. After years of touring and recording in projects together and apart; After the bath, One Second Thought (Cartel Records), The Last Year (Goodlife Records), November Kills (Hotfoot Records), and Juniper Sky (Textbook Music); they decided to start a new musical endeavor which would encompass anything and everything they loved about music. 12 songs later, written over the course of a year, shaped the very foundation of someonElse and would become their full length debut album entitled "the Doomed". After recording, editing, mixing and mastering the album entirely on their own, they decided to also self fund and release the album as well. That August in 2011 would mark the the start of something special, for Paul Rodriguez was recruited as their second guitarist and "the Doomed" was released. After the release of "The Doomed", it received significant amounts of airplay and garnered rave reviews for their unique approach, combining metal & hard rock with interesting song structures which separated them from most metal or hard rock music going on in todays market. With an everlasting DIY ethic, the self produced videos for "winter in July" and "the Doomed" were released, which backed by the sold out consecutive shows at Mercury Lounge, High Line Ballroom, and Irving Plaza; led to over 20,000 views on their youtube channel and gaining over 70,000 fans on Facebook. In October 2013 the band took a step toward the electronic realm and released an 18 track remix album entitled "Still Doomed: Remixes, alternate Versions and Other Garbage" which featured remixes of songs from "the Doomed". Again in DIY fashion a video was released for the first track "Winter in July (Siberian Summer Remix)" which featured video footage from the bands recent Puerto Rico tour. With a new album in the works as well as plans for a US/UK tour on the horizon, someonElse are poised to be one of New York's up and coming heavy hitters.
